You can only have one remote desktop connection to any given PC at one time... depending on what OS the "server" actually is. This action also logs out whom ever is using the server system at the time, again, due to only "one" user can use the system at any given time.

Without purchasing a Windows Server version that includes the given amount of users (usually sold in 5 or more licenses), no you cannot that I am aware of.
I do not use Windows Server of any flavor, so I cannot test if you can even do it with that to tell you the truth. Maybe someone else can answer that for you.

Microsoft's Remote Desktop is very limited. For this purpose I use pcAnywhere or VNC. PcAnywhere is more flexible and more fully featured, but is expensive and has constant version issues. VNC is free but does not include file transfer sofware. Both allow the other end to view what the support person is doing, and both can be set up to use different port addresses for different remotes.

Can those remotes use the system at the same time? Remote desktop is just that: a person sees and does everything on the system just as though they were sitting at the computer. VNC does the same thing, but I would imagine two remote users would be fighting over the same desktop cursor. I have not used VNC for a long time and am rather ignorant of its current capabilities with regards to multiple desktops. I thought about mentioning it above, but assumed only one person/session can still be using the system at any given time, even though multiple people can "view" what is going on.

The host is the one that is being operated remotely, and the remote is the one performing the function. Is the question whether multiple remotes can connect to a single host at the same time? I have never tried it before, and I really can't see any need to ever want to. Why would your want 2 different people operating a computer at the same time? It would be a disaster if the 2 people were in the same office, let alone miles apart.

Correct, but that is what the OP is asking/wanting to do. Maybe they can shed some light as to why.
