Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver
« on: May 08, 2008, 02:53:12 AM »
Boy it would suck to be born 100 years ago.
Hey, Ive seen this service  (Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver) listed in your vista area, but not in an XP area.
On my Dell laptop  XP Home SP-2 with all updates (If the brand helps) this service is running under automatic. Any thoughts on this. I'm trying to locate the problem to my 7 min. shutdowns. Shutting off all services in msconfig. no avail. Just to avoid atypical responses, yes I have run among HJT, Spybot, reg. cleaners, Process exp. anti Rootkits. User Profile Hive Cleanup. ect.
I'm pretty sure a service is not releasing. After two years with out a reload of XP, it's not like I don't need to start from scratch, I just hate losing.
BTW thank you B.V. as I've started under standing services years ago when I first used your settings and read your service descriptions.
