Hello everybody.

A friend of mine bought an Asus Eee, and wants to install Windows.

The eee is a "subnotebook" machine, that has a 4GB SSD.

So i'm planning on installing Windows XP For Legacy PCs. Another option could be Windows 2000.

So considering i would be installing either:
* Windows XP + Microsoft Office XP + Skype + MSN Messenger + Firefox + Genious Webcam + LogMeIn + USB/ADSL Modem.
* Windows 2000 + Office 2000 + Skype + MSN Messenger + Firefox + Genious Webcam +  LogMeIn +USB/ADSL Modem.

How do i prevent/disable each OS (XP or 2000) to do as much "automatic writing" to the SDD as possible?

For example, i would like to disable all loging to the event log (or at least leave only the really important ones).

Any tips/ideas? Thanks.
