Hmmm, this is a misterious one  ???
Any idea about what it really does?
Its dependencies (media center) would push me to disable it.
The fact that Media Center is in a sub folder of the IP enumerator means that the service which depends on this is only Media Center and not the IP enumerator?
Anyway, just to be clear, in the tweak config you disabled this, and infact you say that the Tweak is not for Media Center PCs. Well, I do not use Media Center, but I use other media programs, and  in my XPS 1530 there is a Media Direct, which is similar to media center.
SO, does "Media Center" refers only to Microsoft's program or to a Media pc in general?
Anyway, I want to leave a record of the fact that in my system it is in Manual (Started).
While the other, the "Resource Publication", unless I changed it and I do not remember, it is on Manual, not on Automatic (Started)... But maybe I changed it already and I forgot. As it is more clearly something useless, I can have changed it already...
What confuses me is the use of "network" word. Sometimes it is used as a intranet, like in a home or in a business, and it sounds as something that I can disable without affecting my internet connectivity. Sometimes (like in DNS) is used as something related to internet...
In the case of the Resource Pubblication it sounds as something related to a Intranet, right?

It is used, for example, with the Playstation 3, XBOX 360, or other local PC to connect and view content off of the PC. The Media Center software would be displayed on the device instead of the PC with the XBOX 360.

Hmmm, and if I connect the notebook to a TV with a S-Video, or to a Projector with the (do not remember the name) monitor-type connection, i.e. to see a movie? DO I need it, even if to do the job would be, I suppose, the Nvidia Control Panel, and I would use a Dell software and not a Microsoft one?

No, connection via built in ports is not controlled by this service.
