Hmmm, I keep posting, but I feel intimidated by the fact that each topic I visit has got no replies...
I am missing something?
I feel as in a "the day after" movie, alone in the city, kind of "I am legend"...
 :o
Well, question:
What does this service do exactly? I have it not clear yet...
In the while, I put it in delayed, but if possible I would disable it, if it is something as this Error Reporting Service.
Or at least in Manual...
The same questione goes for the other two similar services after this.
I see that you completely disable them.
I am noticing that letting them in Manual they do not start. Well, I do not know if they would start in certain situation... ::)

If the diagnostic services are stopped, you will not get an option to send a report to MS or download possible solutions to the problem.
If you are not experiencing frequent application/driver crashes... they can be disabled as well as the Error Reporting Service.

Hi! :)

It is for these very reasons, and the fact that I regard Vista and it's 3rd party software still in the "nascent" state, that I leave this service and its entourage active. I want all the help I can get in finding solutions when things go wrong!;) (Okay, so µ$ doesn't have a very good track record in this area, it's solutions and "advice" tending to be obscure and generic, but sometimes that's better than nothing!;) There at too many "new" things in Vista (and misinformation) to not leave all your bases covered.

I'm going to turn it off.

In XP, there were a few times when it worked perfectly. A problem was encountered, a message to MS was sent and I got a reply with a link to a fix. That's the way it's supposed to work.

In Vista, I've had many, many more issues and never once gotten a helpful reply. I understand the value of collecting user issues to understand the severity and prevalence, but unless I get something back (a fix) I'm not sure why I should sacrifice performance and my time to help MS understand the problems with their software.

Just my experience and 2 cents.
