Hello All,
Please forgive my inexperience. I am really needing some assistance knowing which running processes I can stop..I believe there is 76 or something in my task manager. I used to have a list of things I could safely take off but I lost it....I have them all written down and what they are categorized as in the TM. I only know what a very few are....the rest I am lost on. I know that is the reason my computer is running so slowly...The cpu usage is maxed out and I need to stop some of these things that I know I can do without. I do not do much online email, games...that is about it...Can someone please help me and I apologize again for my lack of knowledge...
Thank you.

I am really sorry for being so unknowledgeable about this. What would I type in at google? And taking things off the system configuration? are there any specific safe things to take off? I guess I am still somewhat confused and I apologize. Just trying to get my machine to run a little better. I also am having a problem with trying to save and or delete favorites and bookmarks...I try to delete them and they copy. Anyone have any ideas about that?
Thanks so much all....Really do appreciate all the help. I know it can be frustrating trying to help someone who doesn't understand well.

My recommendation is that if you don't feel comfortable using Google, Registry editing and service starting and stopping,  you might want to read a lot of messages here on this forum.

Registry tweaking and service process modification is not for the faint of heart.
Unless of course you have created a good restorable image of your Operating System boot drive.
And of course backing up any documents, pictures or other data that you would shed tears if you lost them.
