Hello, I hope someone has a solution to this. My son calls me computer retarded, so forgive the ignorance. This is a fairly trivial situation, I know, but it's a pain in the A__!!!
Suddenly this week, with no known changes to my pc (XP Pro), the monitor no longer will turn off after the prescribed amount of time in screensaver power settings. I've tried everything I know, which isn't much, and searched Google ad nauseum, and this forum as well, to no avail. I can't tell from task mgr which, if any, processes are keeping it from shutting down. The monitor, after running my pictures slideshow for a while, will simply go back to the desktop and start over. Any ideas?
