WD Sata / Windows 7 32bit
« on: November 14, 2009, 08:52:17 PM »
I currently have a Western Digital 150gb Sata-150 16mb 10,000rpm (WDC WD1500ADFD-00NLR5 on the Device Manager List) and im wondering if there is a Windows 7 32bit driver that I need to have for this hardware to run at optimal performance. Just upgraded to W7 x32 from Windows XP Pro and while on XP never had any issues but I thought I would ask around to see if there is, and or a better driver made for Windows 7 for this particular drive.

My setup:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHZ
Asus P5KC Motherboard
Patriot PC2-6400 800mhz 4gigs
GeForce 8800GT 512MB DDR3
Western Digital Sata 150gb 16mb 10,000rpm
Windows 7 Ultimate x32bit

Hard drives do not have drivers. The hard drive controller has drivers. Look for the particular hard drive controller information on your  motherboard. Usually included with chipset drivers.
