Forum Upgrade Issues: Post here with problems.
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:00:00 AM »
I seem to have an issue with spaces in my post disappearing after I make it. Not sure the cause, but will figure it out, hopefully, soon.

I disabled the WYSIWYG editor for now while I track down this bug.

I noticed this yesterday, but thought it was my browser causing the issue.  The spacing is not limited to sentences, though. it also affects space between words.

I seem to have found another problem.
Profile -> Modify Profile -> Personal Messaging -> Everyone is "recieve messages from admin only"
You will need to change this if you use the PM system and wish to recieve messages from "All Members".

That particular mod has not been updated. Waiting for it myself as I used it also. :)

Unable to modify posts.

Well I was able to modify this one. Is there a time limit that doesn't allow modification after a certain period?

Yes, it is a 10 minute wait. However, you should be able to modify your post regardless. I will check into this.

The 10 minute wait period is disabled. Members with proper rights should be able to modify posts again.

I messed up the search feature for a few days until I discovered it. It should be fixed.

I manually added in the "Registered" and "Last Active" date and time under the avatar in post view, as it was before the forum upgrade.

I hope I am posting this in the correct place, being a new member of this forum. I just tried to submit a pretty lengthy  post, only to get the login screen and being told I had to be logged in to post. It is somewhat understandable that I may have "Timed out" because I am pretty much a "Hunt &Peck" typer. an I adjust this timer so I can post my issue ? Another thing I found that robbed me of time posting was, I noticed every time I moved the pointer out of the Post area so I could see what I was typing, it would scroll back to the top line of the post. Can this be changed ? I am going to wait for now before re-typing the issue I have. Maybe I can shorten things a bit too.
