Windows7 Professional Loaded
« on: October 21, 2009, 04:35:12 AM »
New programme all set up and working fine. Just a couple of 'warnings' for people.
I use a wireless internet connection thru Netgear. While the W7 loaded fine and I got on the net, the windows 'essential updates' close down my connection and forced me to reload from before the updates. This problem remains for the mo until I find which update is the guilty one. Will load them individually.

Also, despite researching on Mozilla for profle locations of both Firefox and Thunderbird and following the apparently straightforward method. It didn't work and I'm having to manually revisit all my forums, and load up my email stuff the steam-driven way. Fortunately I have hard copies of all sites, usernames and passwords. You have been warned.

Otherwise, a very swanky OS. That works surprisingly well compared with the stuff we've gottten used to over the years!!
