Scheduled Tasks
« on: October 19, 2009, 04:10:35 AM »
Vista Home Basic x32 sp2
I've noticed many Scheduled Tasks that I have no idea what they are. Most seem to run at logon. When I start my computer I'm not able to do anything for a good minute or so until these scheduled tasks are done. (assuming the scheduled tasks is what's bogging me down at startup). I understand my Anti-Virus software loads and looks for update at start up and I have only 3 items in the msconfig's startup tab.
I was wondering if it was ok to disable or delete some of these Scheduled Tasks.

Thanks,
James

Yes, it is okay.  Just know that disabling some of them will render some functions non-responsive.
