Missing/Deleted Service. How to restore?

Dear anyone,
Recently Ive noticed that from some reason I don't have the readyboost service in my services list. Of course when I insert a flash drive the readyboost tab is not there. As if I have deleted the service. Pretty sure the registry value is still there, but the service is missing.

Don't know if this is related but about 6 months ago when I tried using readyboost (that was when it was still on the services list) my PC would crash.

I use Vista Home Premium SP2.

Please help.
