Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Unfortunately I have gone through what you are experiencing now. There are no words that will alleviate the hurt. I wish there were.

Having a cat in your lap does help.  :)

Gosh, it's been a while since I've checked in here.  I'm so very sorry for the loss of your father.  I'm afraid the hurt will always be there.  May your memories take the edge off of your pain. ((hugs))

Dad dying has finally hit me just recently...

I grabbed the phone to call him the other day when both Busch Boys destroyed their race cars in the practice for Daytona...Dad would have loved it!!!

Racing Season starts the first of April for me and I will be very lonely sitting in the grandstands by myself.  You see, Dad has sat beside me, every year, for the past 48 years...

I miss you Dad....
