Ok, not that official, but I will probably be referring to "Windows 7" as W7 from now on.

That's official enough for me.  It's seemed pretty awkward referring to it as just 7, or typing out Windows.

that new OS by Microsoft that I have not yet tried but am thinking of getting it to replace my Windows 64-bit Vista. but a little apprehensive in case it's not 'all that';D

That pretty much describes it.  W7 wouldn't be all that bad -- except that there is no classic Start Menu.  That really bugs me.  Plus when I open folders or apps, W7 always tries to anticpate what I "really mean" and does what it thinks I "really mean" instead of what I really mean......

Well I took the plunge at the weekend and brought Windows 7 HP and installed the 64-bit version to replace my Vista Ultimate 64-bit version.

So far my response is positive. Love it!
