It is still doing it.  Or, I should say, it's still not doing it.  I just finished installing 7 x64 build 7100 and all of my usual applications as well as Office XP, and I haven't touched any services yet.  Outlook still doesn't save my password.  I am using all of the default Windows 7 settings just like I usually do with Windows XP when I'm at this point.

So I don't know:  I guess this is just the way it has to be.  But, of course, I still want to find a solution.

I think it is probable that Windows 7 doesn't properly support Office XP. Vista only supported Office 2003 and 2007.

I am beginning to come to the same conclusion.  Although, I mentioned it in my feedback on Windows 7.
