windows vista, firewall settings
« on: May 16, 2009, 01:58:07 PM »
Hello.
I have been looking around the settings in windows firewall (vista) to allow inboud and outbound connections to a particular website.

I carn,t seem to find any option to to add this website anywhere.
I have allowed outbound connections to (tcport 414) and 62.189.69.39
Any ideas   :)

To the best of my knowledge, outbound connections on Vista are blocked by exception only. In other words, all outbound connections are allowed except the ones you add. Inbound connections are blocked by default, and only the ones you add are allowed. Outbound blocking is really quite useless unless you don't want somebody on your computer accessing a particular site or service.
