New main web site layout is here.

I finished the main web site layout (www.blackviper.com) and it is online.
If logged in, you should be greeted with your Forum Name in the upper left.
If you are a Premium Member, no ads should display on the main web site.

It rattled my cage briefly when I logged on. No problems though. The Forums loaded quickly again (as they have been doing since your tweak during the "Things sure are slow" flap).

Same here with the fast forum loads.  I didn't pay much attention before, but I think it was around 2 sec.  Since the tweaking, it's been pretty consistent @ ~1.5 sec.

When I enter the forum, my name is on the upper left corner but not on the main web site.  Is that because I have the forum set to remember me?

Clearing your cookies and relogging (or even logging out and in) should fix that.

BV EDIT: Wife tested = logging out and in on the forums fixes the name display on the main web site. However, comma, if you visit a cached page, will not refresh that information as the underlining HTML has not changed. Visiting a new link should do the trick. This is to reduce my outbound bandwidth by... a bunch.

Not yet. You need to go to the forums and login here, then head to the main web site.
If I implement that, it would just be a link back to here, anyway.

ive always started (bookmarked) on the main page and now i can login and slip into the forums  :D
 
-edit- well all it saved me was one less mouse click but one is better then none i guess :P
