Hey all ...
I'm looking for archived ZIP files (compressed REG files) of
Black Viper's Windows XP x86 (32-bit) Service Pack 2 Service Configurations ...
I'm sure this has been asked again and again ... if that's the case, my apologies.
I looked over BV's web site very carefully, I searched here at the forum with various chunks of my Subject line and partial potential file names (however, words with less than two characters not allowed in a search - like '2') ... alas I cannot find that which I seek.
Are the XP Pro x86 (32-bit) SP2 Default, "Safe", Tweaked and Bare Bones versions of BV's Service Configurations ZIP (compressed REG) files available somewhere?
Reason - I have a bunch of older Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptops (PII 266 - 400MHz, all w. max. 256MB SDRAM) that run XP Pro SP2, IE6 and Office 2000 just fine, however, based on the impact to one unit (a 400MHz unit - as a test bed / guinea pig) by the introduction of SP3, IE7 and MS Office 2007 Enterprise (Blue) Edition, that unit is now pressed resource-wise to a state of un-useability.  I feel I need to stay away from SP3 (I take all the other Critical Updates from MS on the rest of the Tecras) and all the  large-memory-footprint fancy new s/w out there and, if anything, experiment with BV's Service Configurations to see if I can free up resources.
Thanks, FFF

I do not support Tweaked and Bare Bones as a download for older OS's. This is due to the problems of security and the lack of updates usually applied to those versions to combat those vulnerabilities.
However, you can create your own files however you wish here:

Ummm ... sorry to bug everyone with this request again ... did the links provided by BV back in APR  get moved?  Or omitted?  I need to download the "Safe" Service Configurations for W2K Pro SP4 (+ SRP1), if it's still available some/anywhere.
Thanks, FFF

The link is for XP, not Win2k. As such, no, it did not get moved or anything, just not available as I do not have registry settings for that particular OS.

Hey BV ... how's it goin' eh?
Thanks for the speedy reply ...
Actually, those links don't seem to work (for me) ... I was hoping to navigate from them to W2K.
Thanks for the help regardless ... I shall do it manually while using your W2K Services Configuration guide ... FFF

P.S.  I can't seem to locate the 'Notify' button in this post to activate a subscription notification ... am I blind (again)?

You must post more for that feature.
