XP Home Service Patch Problem?
« on: March 31, 2009, 10:37:51 AM »
Hi,
I put the services safe patch into my wife's AMD X2 3800 desktop and she found that her tool bars in IE 8 can out in black and unreadable. Have you heard anything like this. I rewstored the original registry backup and all is OK now but What's Up?

Rick

Try uninstalling IE8, then update to SP3. After SP3 is finished get all the Windows updates from Windows Update and then try installing IE8.

Hey There,

Service pack III was already installed. I think I will try putting in the changes in smaller parts and see if I can find the one causing the problem. I'll repost tomorrow with the results.

Thanks

Sorry that it has been awhile since I can reply, but I am working on getting all of my VM's up and running as well as updated.
Will check this out soon.
