Password Manager Software
« on: February 21, 2009, 12:19:53 AM »
Hi

I am looking for a Password manager type product that will allow me to securely store logons and passwords for sites I visit on which I have an account, this forum for example.  I am looking for one that will recognise the web page I am on and auto-fill the logon information required for that page without any prompting from me.  I am not in the practise of using the same logon name and password for every account I have (otherwise if somebody learns of your password, then have free reign over all accounts), so remembering different logons can be frustrating.

I used to use Norton Internet Security and I loved the Password manager facility it had on it; it was just what I wanted.  Norton used to have a separate product called Password Manager, but that has been withdrawn now as it's built into their Internet security software.

I realise that IE and Firefox have a similar thing built into them, but I am wary of using them.

Has anybody any suggestions?

Thank you.

Hi

Me again.

Just found such a product which I am trialling; http://www.roboform.com/

Seems to be just the thing I am after, and it works with Vista 64-bit, which is a bonus.  :)
