Using Mouse as Joystick in Vista x64 (IL-2 Sturmovik)?
« on: January 10, 2009, 06:04:09 AM »
I am posting this question here in the slim hopes that someone here has figures out how to play Il-2 Sturmovik with a mouse and keyboard, not a joystick, and does so on Vista x64. Anyone?

Just to add to this, I will be setting up an XP32 system soon; so perhaps someone knows how to get games to see the MOUSE as a Joystick in games on XP 32?

XP32 has a Game Controllers setup and I believe the default is the keyboard but the mouse can also be used.

The best bet is to get a PC adapter and use an XBox wireless controller. I believe this only works with M$ games, for example, Flight Simulater. Someone correct me if wrong.  ;)

You can get the adapter and  controller together for fairly cheap through Craigslist. (I sold the pack for about $30 last year.)
