wzc svc, won't start generates error 1058

Having problems with wireless zero config. Will not start. Set on auto but whe try to start get error message 1058. Have tried to resolve by looking for answers on microsoft site.  Running on hp pavillion dv 9208nr with broadcom wireless card on windows xp prestige sp3. Not running any other wireless card apps. This is a new install which has never worked.
