XP sc delete sens
« on: September 09, 2008, 04:21:05 PM »
It was done. No System Restore enabled either. Other than doing a XP Repair Install, which I sense is the best method to return the service (I assume - not always a good sign  :) ) the system has the SP3 upgrade. Would there be a chance uninstalling then reinstalling the upgrade might repair the service? SP2 was pretty handy at restoring many damaged services, so was hoping for the person that SP3 might have that for the services it covers. I of course appreciate any input on this - Thanks.

Then answer to the SP3 uninstall/reinstall is unfortunately no. The upgrade does not make the changes to the sens service necessary to effect repairs on reinstall. A test system needed the upgrade anyway, so the error was added to check. An XP Repair Install will repair the service.
