Windows defender Service

Hi

Im using kaspersky Internet Security  and SuperAntispyware so i turned Off Windows Firewall and Windows Defenders Real Time Prtoection but  from Windows Defender option when i unchecked  Use Windows Defender Thn in Control panel Security System shows RED ..why ???

But my main question is If i Disable both services Windows firewall and Defender what kind of problem could i face or nothing??Becoz im not using any of them..This could be littlebit help to increase perfomence or am i wrong??

I think you will find that the common viewpoint here is that Windows Defender is next to useless, and as long as you have some kind of firewall running, you don't need Windows firewall. Now the only thing that you need to do is turn off the nag screen Security Center.

You do need a firewall. so if that is the only one you have, use it or find another one, lots of good free ones out there.

"kaspersky internet security" is a firewall isn't it?, so you should be ok in what you propose.

As long as you have one. and only one, firewall, and one, and only one, anti-virus, and at least one, but don't get carried away, anti-spyware program running on your system, you will be fine.
