2 AV programs better than one?
« on: July 14, 2008, 11:19:30 AM »
I have had AVG installed and running for the past one year now and have added avira recently. Will they be any problems with 2 programs running simulaneously? granted, have to update them both and definitely take up  more resoursces, but other than that will it clash or be inaccurate somehow?

I wouldn't run two together.  They can conflict with each other and hose your PC, and even if it works, your wasting resources.

More than one anti-virus program at a time is always very, very, very bad, same thing with firewalls, IF you can get them to even run at the same time.  Anti-spyware programs, however, are a different matter, but that wasn't the question. :D

Cheers and Regards.
